*Brightness: Outdoor environments often have high levels of ambient light, so TFT displays used outdoors need to be sufficiently bright to ensure good visibility. High brightness levels, typically measured in nits (cd/m²), are required to overcome sunlight glare. Our outdoor TFT displays often have brightness levels ranging from 1000 to 1500 nits.
*Sunlight Readability: In addition to high brightness, outdoor TFT displays should also have good sunlight readability. This is achieved through various techniques such as anti-glare coatings, polarization layers, and optical bonding to reduce reflections and enhance contrast. We use high-quality optical materials from our Japan partner, bring the anti-glare & anti-reflection solution make the R<1% for outdoor application.
*Temperature Range: Outdoor environments can experience wide temperature variations. Therefore, TFT displays used outdoors should be designed to operate reliably across a wide temperature range, typically from -20°C to 70°C or even wider depending on the specific application requirements. Our Top range can cover -30°C to 85 °C , suits for more environmental conditions.
*Weatherproofing and Durability: Outdoor TFT displays need to be rugged and weatherproof to withstand exposure to elements such as rain, dust, humidity, and extreme temperatures. Enclosures with IP (Ingress Protection) ratings are often used to protect the display components from environmental hazards. Our products use cover lens up to 6mm thickness which passed the IK 10 level impact resistant.
*Power Consumption: Efficient power management is important for outdoor TFT displays, especially for applications where they may be powered by batteries or solar panels. Low-power display modes and energy-saving features help extend battery life and reduce operating costs.
*Resolution and Viewing Angle: High resolution is essential for displaying detailed content, while wide viewing angles ensure good visibility from various viewing positions. Outdoor TFT displays should have wide viewing angles both horizontally and vertically to accommodate different viewing scenarios.
*Connectivity and Integration: Outdoor TFT displays may need to interface with other systems or devices such as sensors, controllers, or network connectivity for data exchange and remote management. Connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, and various industrial protocols may be required depending on the application.
